Much has been said about the Millennials and their impact on society through their adoption of social media, but there is a new generation, born this century, that is going to change the way we view the world and how we write history. They are what I am calling, the “Wiki-Pedials.”

The Wiki-Pedials are those kids who not only spend less time researching their homework, but who take at full face value the information they find on the Internet. Now, I don’t necessarily think this is a bad thing; just the contrary … as the old adage goes, history is written by the victors, which means the battles of revisionism are justified in their attempts rectify the stories of those who have been misrepresented. Since facts on the Internet are Googled, and information hubs like Wikipedia are written from a large collaborative base, it means that more often than not, the truth will now be more accurately represented or critical comments will resonate in every source.
